DSPO3-Adobe Photoshop Creative Course
4 Week Course / Tutor: Louis Haugh / Max 6 per class
A course suitable for photographers, artists or any creative individuals looking to up-skill their photoshop abilities. Learn how to edit, manipulate and create your own image-montages using Adobe Photoshop’s host of powerful features including layers, masks, liquify, clone tool and more.
Over the course of four weeks, students will be introduced to Photoshop’s image editing tools. You will learn in a relaxed and encouraging environment how to use its basic tools to enhance your images and we will slowly progress to the advanced manipulation tools such as liquify and pen selection.
After the course, students will have the knowledge to change, alter and edit their images to their own liking, as well as having the knowledge to begin making their own photo-montages. Whether you want to subtly enhance your images or drastically change them, you will be able to get the most from your photography.
No prior knowledge of Photoshop or photography is required, but it is useful. Students will need a laptop with a full or trial copy of Photoshop and some image files to edit.

A graduate of IADT’s Ba Photography Programme, Louis has been working independently and collaboratively within Dublin for many years. Having exhibited and participated in residencies nationally and internationally, Louis’s photography practice is as diverse as it is varied. Drawing from a plethora of historic and contemporary printing techniques, Louis brings a dynamic range of Alternative Processes to The Darkroom’s existing curriculum.
