Bob Gallagher
Bob Gallagher is a director, writer and cinematographer based in Dublin. In early 2019 Bob was Emerging Artist-in-Residence at the Darkroom, studying analogue development and printing techniques. Having come from a filmmaking background to explore photography, Bob used his time here to develop a highly experimental process working with analogue 3D images shot on 35mm film.
This residency concluded in his first solo exhibition ‘Forced Perspectives’ where he displayed the images as both large-scale handmade prints and as 3D video. Bob was subsequently invited to show the series as part of the Photo Ireland Festival, in the group show ‘Diversity of Four’.
