Intermediate Course
Want to take your DSLR video further, in this course you will look at how to produce high-quality video output using your camera. This course assumes participants will have an Introduction level knowledge and understanding of video hardware and editing. The first session will be dedicated to using the camera to capture video using applied shooting techniques.
By considering panning, action shots, working with available light (indoor/outdoor) and creative exposure the participant will develop a sequence of short clips. In the second session, the focus will shift to post-production where participants will consider best practices when working with video. By learning how to organize a video workflow, this one-day session will cover working with codecs, editing techniques, and how to output video.
Requirements
Must-Have completed the Introduction to video or have a basic knowledge of digital video.
A laptop with either a purchased or recently installed trial version of Final Cut Pro X. (Mac-based software available as a free 30-day trial which can be made to run on Windows).A DSLR camera with a video function with a fully charged battery and a memory card capable of capturing HD video (SDHC Class 4 minimum) and a tripod.
